The Fine Line
The ratio of human impact and man’s desires to understand, overcome and utilize the environment is of concern for many of us today. The unique nature of the lands surrounding Moss Landing in Northern California provides an opportunity to consider these relationships in depth. Concentrated around the harbor is the Moss Landing Power Plant, formerly PG&E, the Elkhorn Marine Slough, Moss Landing State Wildlife Preserve, Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute and acres of agricultural lands. These images explore the nature of that relationship and the dependence man and nature have on the other. The intention is to reflect on the narrow and invisible line separating successful cohabitation. (2015)
